Yes. Checkout upsells, order bumps, the spend-threshold rewards bar, trust badges at checkout, and all other checkout extensions are exclusively available on Shopify Plus. This is a Shopify platform requirement — Checkout Extensibility is a Shopify Plus-only feature. All other Aftersell features (post-purchase upsells, cart, Rokt Thanks) are available on all Shopify plans.
Aftersell supports three checkout upsell formats: Single-product upsell (one focused recommendation with an add-to-cart button), Multi-product upsell (multiple product options displayed together), and Checkmark upsell (a pre-checked add-on item — also called an order bump — that customers opt out of rather than into, significantly increasing acceptance rates). Checkmark upsells are exclusive to Aftersell among major Shopify Plus checkout tools.
Aftersell uses Shopify's native product recommendation engine to surface relevant upsells based on what's in the customer's cart. Being powered by Shopify's own algorithm means recommendations are matched to your store's real purchase patterns — with no third-party data transfer and no black-box models. You can also manually specify products for any upsell rule if you want full control.
